Programs and Resources
Our students come from all backgrounds and circumstances. From College Prep and Honors programs to alternative credit options, we do everything we can to help them thrive.
MMC Honors
Highly motivated and accomplished students find their niche at MMC. The College Honors Program offers an advanced core curriculum and more chances for independent study. Honors Day, the Dean’s List, and national honors societies also recognize the hard work and talent of our top students.
Prior Learning Assessment
Some of our students come to college with prior professional or educational experience that merits credit. Submit your portfolio for review to earn alternative credits toward your college degree.
Prison Education Programs
MMC offers college-prep and college-level courses through our two degree-granting prison education programs—the Bedford Hills College Program (BHCP) at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, and the Taconic College Program (TCP) in partnership with nonprofit Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison at the adjacent Taconic Correctional Facility. These programs were founded on the belief that successful rehabilitation and re-entry to society depend on education and opportunity for those who have served their time.
Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)
HEOP is a New York state-funded program that provides support for up to five years of undergraduate study to high-achieving, low-income students, particularly those who have had limited access to AP and honors courses, leadership organizations, and co-curricular programming.
Summer Programs
Our summer programs include the Summer Academic Institute, HEOP’s 6-week summer prep session for incoming students, and Jump Start, a 3-week early orientation and college transition program for pre-first-year students. The College also hosts numerous summer workshops in the creative and performing arts.

Thanks to a gift from the Oliver and Jennie R. Donaldson Charitable Trust, MMC has established the Donaldson Awards to help student’s present scholarly research at conferences around the country and the world.
