MMC offers a number of study abroad programs that transport you beyond the five boroughs of NYC. Does Paris entice you? What about London? Perhaps Greece or Italy? There’s no better city to be in for business majors. The people I was able to surround myself with, the internships I was able to attain, and the accessibility were all invaluable. MMC takes ‘NYC as your campus’ seriously, and I always felt supported in learning outside of the 71st street campus.

During my summer internship, I worked on analyzing currency risk exposure, hedging activities, and presenting macroeconomic projections for Granberg AS. I was also involved in conducting marketing research by creating in-depth questionnaires, collecting responses, and utilizing SPSS software to evaluate and present results and suggestions on which direction the company should take in the future.

What did I enjoy most at Marymount? First and foremost would be the faculty of the Business Division. Each member of this team brings forth an unprecedented knowledge base in an array of subject matter. But what separates them from simply being intellects is their pride and love for teaching.

MMC’sclose proximity to museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art allows for courses to be held in front of works of art, which, as an Art History student, was incredibly important and rewarding to me. Because of the small size of the program, the professors are aware of their students’ interests and are always on the lookout for new learning opportunities for each of them.
