It's #AlumniTuesday, and our grads are making big moves! Here are just a few great stories: 📸 1: Miguel Urbino ’16 will be co-designing the set for the Encores! revival of "The Light in The Piazza" at New York City Center, running this June. Fun fact: As a junior at MMC, Miguel designed the set for the mainstage TPW production of the play. 📸 2: Mia Massaro ’19 recently starred as Paula in the North American tour of "An Officer and a Gentleman." She’s also the co-founder of the app/website Reader (readerforactors.com), which connects actors with a virtual reader for their self-tapes. 📸 3: Adam David Gold ’20, co-founder of the marketing and branding agency GoldenSnow, was named to Graphic Design USA's 2023 People to Watch list. He's married to fellow alum Paige Elizabeth Zahn ’12; they have two daughters.  📸 4: Hailey Gallegos ’22, who graduated with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, is an emergency medicine clinical research assistant for three hospitals in Rhode Island. She gets to put the lab skills she learned at MMC into practice daily and is responsible for enrolling patients for 20 different studies. 💙 #MMCPROUD #GoGriffins @mmcbiology @mmctheatrearts #nyccollege #NYC #UES

It’s #AlumniTuesday and we’ve got some great updates on MMC grads! 📸 1: That’s Theatre alum Michelle E. Carter ’18 and Dance alum Gracie Anderson ’19. They’ve been on the North American tour of CATS since 2021 and will continue performing until June. Michelle plays the role of Jennyanydots, and Gracie is a swing/dance captain.   📸 2: Lindsay Grymes ’20 choreographed the piece “Falter Upward” for the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group’s Spring Gala. She was one of two choreographers to be selected for the group’s Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative, which drew hundreds of applicants last fall.  📸 3: Dance alum Mattie Love ’16 will take the stage in Bob Fosse’s musical revue Dancin’ when it returns to Broadway in March. She recently performed as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall, toured with Wicked, and was featured in the 2019 miniseries Fosse/Verdon. ➡️ Alums, DM us your updates! #MMCPROUD #NYC #NYCColleges #UES #Dance #Theatre

We've got more great stories of #MMCLove in allllll its forms, including these: 📸 1: APIDA President Isaac Smith and VP Serena Lo didn't know each other before joining the org, but they've gotten to be besties along the way, and their close friendship has helped set the tone for the group. 📸 2-3: Ashley Coppolino ’16 and Katie Kausch ’16 were assigned each other as roommates but chose to be friends, going to class, museums, and concerts together. "Almost 10 years after meeting, she was my maid of honor at my wedding," Ashley says. "MMC didn't know it, but they gave me my best friend for life!" 📸 4: PJ Adzima ’15 met his wife Julia Knitel at MMC, and they've been married now for five years. PJ stars as Elder McKinley in The Book of Mormon, while Julia is touring with Come From Away. 📸 5. After meeting through a mutual friend, George Iliopoulos ’11 and David Gilbert ’12 bonded over a night of #karaoke in 2011. They were married in 2017 in a gorgeous ceremony on the beach in Costa Rica. 💙

This #Valentines, we're celebrating #MMCLove in all its forms! 📸 1: Anna Belden ’26 and Hailey Meyer ’24 became fast friends after meeting at SDA’s Leadership Immersion Weekend and being cast in Play On’s production of Dry Land together. "Hailey is like a big sister to me and an incredible scene partner," Anna says. "I’m so grateful for her mentorship and her friendship!" 📸 2-3: Emani "King" Mack ’20, founder of The Throne, says the team "is like the fraternity/sorority MMC never had," with tight bonds among members past and present. That's him with the team last year when he came back to direct the Black History Showcase and with the group's president, Jasmine Williams ’23. 📸4-5: Talk about an enduring bond! VP for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty Peter Naccarato and AVP for Strategic Initiatives Katie LeBesco met in 1999 after sitting next to each other at a Humanities Division meeting. "I never imagined that 23 years later, I would be reflecting on one of the most important professional relationships and friendships in my life," he said. "The tuna fish sandwich she was eating that day was the beginning of a beautiful journey that has included teaching, presenting, and publishing in food studies and sharing many amazing meals together. How lucky am I to have found one of my best friends at MMC?" More stories to come! 💙
