Profiles
Adding Profiles
- Go to the Dashboard for your group (blue button in the toolbar).

Click the Profiles tab.

If you are creating a new profile, click the blue + Add new. Or you can click on the name of an existing profile to edit.

Fill out the profile fields with relevant information:
- Upload an image at least 300px x 300px. You can choose the crop area by clicking on the image.

For Students and Alumni, fill out the Class Year and Major. Fill out the Quote if you’d like this profile to appear in the quote widget.
- For Staff and Faculty, fill out all the fields for Department, Job Title, Email etc.
- You can include links to related pages on the right hand side under Relater Content. Link to events, stories, or pages on the MMC website, or link to other websites.
- If you’re ready, change the profile from Hidden to Live.

Click Save, or Save and Go to Profile for a preview that opens in a new tab.

As a junior I interned at an online magazine, The Stylish Sophisticate, as a Stylist and Editorial Assistant. During my internship, Stylish teamed up with a fashion house called Bene Rialto and ran a fashion contest with them on our website. It was a great time to be involved with the magazine because I was able to see the inner workings of what it takes to set up a fashion contest and use social media for advertising.
I have always been intrigued by the beauty and design that encompass fashion. I enjoy spending hours sketching my own designs. One day, I hope to produce my own clothing line that will double as a charity.

During my senior year the Graphic Design program at MMC arranged for a summer internship for me at a New York City corporate design firm. Thanks to the flexibility that MMC offers to students I was ready with the necessary tools for this job. After graduation, they offered me a junior designer full-time position. I worked with an incredible team of designers that was willing to share their knowledge with me, especially the owner of the company whom I consider now my mentor. After two years of professional experience I was accepted in the Communication Design graduate program at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.

Art is not created in a vacuum and it is irresponsible to ignore the multiple widespread injustices plaguing our society. In my independent work as an actor, director, and theatre-maker, I attempt to use my platform to make meaningful contributions addressing these inequities and to pivot to provide space for underrepresented voices. I currently serve as the Next Generation Fellow for the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center (at the CUNY Graduate Center), where I am focused on amplifying the goal of accessible resources and conversations in order to connect and invest in our global community.

I found myself excited by the class sizes and the opportunity to really make a difference within the community. Dr. Mary Fleischer was integral to my experience at MMC. I got to work with her throughout my years at Marymount and really felt like I made a difference in my major. Her History of New Media class furthered my passion for experimental theater and the January course Experimental Theater was just the icing on the cake.

Taking classes within the Arts Management minor not only complemented my majors in Art and Art History but also assisted me in discovering how to employ my knowledge and skills while working in various cultural institutions throughout New York. In particular, The History of Museums and Collections offered me a new perspective on the historic and contemporary functions of the art world, which ultimately opened my eyes to the endless possibilities for academic and professional growth within the field. In fact, the invaluable information and experiences I took away from the course gave me the confidence necessary to succeed in my role as an Administrative Intern at the Queens Historical Society during my last semester at MMC.

The Communication Arts major allowed me access to the full array of course offerings in the Communication and Media Arts Department. The department’s professors and facilities gave me the opportunity to experience communications practices, theory, and study side by side. The synergy of my classes gave me unique, invaluable knowledge of the breadth of the communications field and prepared me to better understand any role within it.
