Performance Opportunities
There are 8 weekends of performances available to BFA Candidates per year.
Dancers At Work (DAW) is a student choreography showcase that is dedicated to training and supporting the next generation of choreographers. Approximately 14-15 student choreographers produce their work in the Great Hall per semester. This performance series teaches student choreographers the choreographic process as well as working with professional costume designers and technical directors to achieve their final goal. DAW is performed in both the fall and spring semesters.
Fall Repertoire is a faculty choreography concert that runs for one weekend in December. Spring Repertoire includes major reconstructions from legendary choreographers as well as premieres from cutting edge artists. Two weekends are dedicated for both the Fall and Spring Repertoire. These performances are rehearsed the entire semester and performed in The Theresa Lang Theatre, MMC’s own 249 seat off-Broadway theatre.
