  1. Submit your application for admission through the Common Application or the Marymount Manhattan College website prior to scheduling an audition or interview.
  2. Log in to your Admissions Portal and complete the required Dance Application located in your Admissions Portal Checklist. When completing the dance application you will be offered the opportunity to select from the various programs the dance department offers. You may choose the option of being seen for either the BA or BFA programs; or both. Once the Dance Application has been successfully submitted, you will be prompted to select your preferred audition within your portal.
  3. Schedule a live audition opportunity or upload your digital audition requirements. Access to audition scheduling will open on October 8, 2020.

Please Note: Your transcripts, test scores, and letters of recommendation can be submitted at a later date, and do not need to be marked as complete in order to schedule an audition.

SCHEDULING YOUR AUDITION

Once you have submitted your application for admission you will be given access to the Dance Application and the Dance Audition Form located within your Admissions Portal. This form will guide you through the process to schedule your preferred audition/interview date.

Please note that an audition is required for all prospective Dance students regardless of their intended concentration. Applicants interested in applying and auditioning to more than one Dance Concentration should denote that in their Dance Application.

Auditions are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to schedule your audition opportunity as soon as you are able. Access to audition scheduling will open on October 8, 2020. This year the Department of Dance will be hosting two types of audition opportunities:

Live Auditions - (Virtual)

Digital Auditions

Both audition experiences afford applicants an equal opportunity for admission to the Department of Dance. We encourage you to select the audition experience that best aligns with your individual needs.

“I certainly miss the community of school, but I’ve realized that it will never disappear. I’ve been spending time with Catie, having wonderful callbacks with Mia, and dancing with Cameron Burke for Chase [Brock’s] company (who graduated before I even began at MMC). The MMC community is alive and thriving within the dance community. In fact, … I randomly met a fantastic woman named Jen Abad. After we had been talking about other random things, I came to find out that she was an MMC alum class of ’01 and that she owns a studio in Bay Ridge. I began to tell her all the amazing things I was able to do at school, the advancements that have happened over the years, and how it molded me into the person I am today. And now she’s offering me to come and teach at her studio! What a small world, eh?? I’ve realized that I not only have the support of the community I graduated with, but also all of the dancers that have come from [MMC] before me. It is truly a magical place that [has been] built, and I’m so proud to be an alum.”
