Message from the MMC Dance Advisory Board
Dear Friends of Dance,
During this pandemic year, the MMC Dance Department dancers have shown resilience and adaptation to a new virtual world. They have proven that the human spirit and creativity can soar even in the midst of chaos.
We invite you to celebrate these dancers at our virtual Dance Gala on May 28, 2021. We will witness their artistry and hear their stories and their aspirations. We will toast them, and you, our devoted supporters, with a virtual glass of the best champagne. We will wish for a speedy return to in-person performances and joyous receptions.
Your presence may be virtual this year, but your support for our talented dancers through the Dance Gala Fund, however, is very real.
The MMC Dance Advisory Board, invites you, Friends of Dance, to be our “real” partners in ensuring that the MMC Dance Department and its students continue to soar. That is a celebration indeed!

Mission Statement
The Dance Gala Fund provides enhanced experiences for Marymount Manhattan College’s Dance Department students enrolled in its BA and BFA programs.
These include:

Support of scholarships such as:
- The Glorianne Jackson Scholarship which benefits dance students from underrepresented communities
- The Michael McArthur Memorial Scholarship which allows a young talented dancer(s) to attain an undergraduate degree in Dance regardless of financial hardship; the scholarship is merit-based and financial need must be demonstrated - Intensive intersession workshops with noted teachers and choreographers
- Acquisition of performance and music rights to challenging works used for Spring semester productions and the Annual Gala performances
- Enhanced technical aspects of Annual Dance Gala productions
- Community outreach
- Lectures on dance topics such as new directives in dance, dance therapy, etc.

- General Admission: $75.00
- General Admission, Marymount Manhattan Alumni: $50.00
Levels
- Superstar: $10,000.00, 1 Registrant + up to 10 Guests/additional devices
- Benefactor: $5,000.00, 1 Registrant + up to 6 Guests/additional devices
- Angel: $2,500.00, 1 Registrant + up to 5 Guests/additional devices
- Patron: $1,000.00, 1 Registrant + up to 4 Guests/additional devices
- Donor: $750.00, 1 Registrant + up to 3 Guests/additional devices
- Partner: $500.00, 1 Registrant + up to 2 Guests/additional devices
- Friend: $250.00, 1 Registrant + 1 Guest/additional device

- Will receive verbal recognition during the presentation (by permission)
