What is accessibility?

MMC is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive academic community, where all students are given the opportunity to have a transformative learning experience.  Providing equality of opportunity to persons with disabilities, including equal access to College programs, services, and activities provided through electronic or information technology (EIT), is essential to fulfilling this commitment.

Office of Disability Services

Marymount Manhattan College provides support for students with learning, physical, medical and psychological disabilities. Students with disabilities who are requesting accommodations of any kind need to register with the Office of Disability Services (ODS). Academic Access Program

Academic Access is a cost-above-tuition program for students with learning disabilities that is specifically designed to foster academic success.  Through accommodations and multifaceted support, students with learning difficulties are able to excel at MMC.  For information about additional services available to students enrolled in this program, visit our Academic Access Program page.

Find the browsealoud icon on our website for text-to-speech resources Find the browsealoud icon on our website for text-to-speech resources MMC offers Browsealoud assistive technology for our website. This tool is available by clicking the icon on the upper right corner of any page on the MMC website. Browsealoud adds text-to-speech functionality to our website and provides speech and reading support tools for online content to extend the reach of websites for people who require reading support. This includes those with dyslexia, learning difficulties, and mild visual impairments, as well as those with English as a second language.


Blackboard Ally: Digital Course Materials
