Rachel Summers ’16
Class of 2016, Double major in International Business and Marketing
Minors in Accounting and Theatre Arts
I truly appreciate Marymount Manhattan College for its knowledgeable professors and variety of programs that have helped me further my goals in business and in acting.
About
Rachel Summers graduated summa cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College, with double majors in International Business and Marketing, and minors in Accounting and Theatre Arts. She received “Gold Key” awards in both majors and honors in the Accounting minor.
Through the guidance of the Business Division, Rachel held internships at Chandelier Creative, a boutique advertising firm, as well as MKG, an experiential marketing firm. During her internships, she was on the Creative, New Business and Brand Strategy teams, working on a range of client accounts, including Audi, Virgin Mobile, GH Mumm, Nautica, and Old Navy. She also took classes at NYU Stern School of Business, all while acting in MMC’s Theatre program, and in commercials for Nike, Pretty Little Liars and Verizon Wireless. By acting in these campaigns, and gaining knowledge from her business classes, Rachel was able to more fully understand marketing and advertising strategies in their entirety, from the initial planning stage to implementation.
Rachel was accepted into five prestigious graduate programs, including one at the London School of Economics. Rachel chose to pursue the Masters in International Business affiliated with the Stern School of Business at NYU.
