CMA Alumna Sarah Rosenthal ’18 Heads to Harvard
The program focuses on innovating education technology, leveraging the science of learning, and developing powerful pedagogies to improve learning outcomes. Rosenthal first learned about the LDIT program at Harvard during her internship at Sesame Workshop, completed during her senior year at MMC. The program, she says, is the perfect next step in her career as it combines her passion for creativity and content creation with educational media. “After working for a few years, I am so excited to be back in the classroom with students from all over the world,” Rosenthal says. “I am excited to move to Cambridge, but I know that nowhere will ever be as amazing as New York.”
Throughout her time at MMC, Rosenthal completed a number of internship programs, including with Sesame Workshop as a Creative Development Intern and Primary Stages as an Education Intern. In 2018, she graduated magna cum laude and soon began work with B’nai Jeshurun, one of the oldest Ashkenazi synagogues in the country, serving the community through the temple’s various engagement programs. Rosenthal has also been able to freelance direct theatre productions throughout New York City in addition to her work at the synagogue.
“My experience at MMC sparked my interest in the opportunities and the special community that academic settings can offer. The Communication and Media Arts department provided me with a foundation of media skills, research experience, and internship opportunities have prepared me for my next step.”
Congratulations, Sarah!
