CMA Professor Corey Liberman, Ph.D., Awarded ECA Teaching Fellowship

Associate Professor of Communication and Media Arts, Corey J. Liberman, Ph.D., has been awarded a 2020 Teaching Fellowship through the Eastern Communication Association, a professional organization of scholars, teachers, and students of Communication Studies.

“The Eastern Communication Association is the organization within which I have received the most collegial guidance and the most opportunities for networked connections,” writes Liberman, in his acceptance remarks published by the ECA. “It is at ECA conferences that I have learned from the best. Back in 1998, I took my very first course in communication (Principles of Communication Theory), taught by past ECA President John Courtright, at the University of Delaware. I have spent the past 15+ years developing pedagogical strategies that I hope have worked in the classroom and that have inspired as much in my students as John Courtright inspired in me over two decades ago. I am humbled and grateful to be among this year’s Distinguished Teaching Fellows…and want nothing more than to continue learning from those who have helped me develop this craft over the years. Thank you, ECA, for this amazing honor.”

Congratulations, Dr. Liberman!
