TownSquare comes to CommArts

Susan Anderson, Executive Director of TownSquare, and her colleague Abbey Rose came to MMC’s Freelance Writing class to discuss the importance of local outreach and reporting with a specific focus on the group’s environmental reporting initiative, Go Green Brooklyn (https://gogreenbk.org). The mission of Go Green is to be the “go-to destination for local environmental news, events and opportunities demonstrating how easy it is get involved within your community and make an impact.”

As part of Go Green’s collaboration with Marymount’s CommArts program, digital journalism student, Hannah Griffee, had a piece published on eco-fashion trends. (https://gogreenbk.org/2019/02/williamsburg-hosts-eco-conscious-fashion-show/ )

We look forward to building additional opportunities for our students!
