“Stop and Film”

In-House Marymount Film Festival about Race, Policing and White Privilege

 

In response to worldwide reaction to the Mike Brown/Eric Garner tragedies and Marymount Manhattan’s call to action to combat the systematic oppression of black lives in America, students from the College’s departments of Communication & Media Arts and Theatre Arts are coming together to collaborate on an artistic and political project.

Be part of Marymount’s first annual in-house produced “turn and burn” film festival!

In February, teams of cast and crew will meet for the first time.

Within 5 days, they will write, produce and screen original work for the public.

We are looking for***:

Performers• Directors • Producers • Stage Managers • Publicists • Researchers • Writers • Camera People • Lighting Assistants • Production Assistants • Sound Operators • Editors

You will make:

Documentaries • Experimental Shorts • Fiction Pieces

February dates of production / screening are:

 

Sat Feb 21- Open Workshop 
Meet, take part in workshops on adapting memories to stories for the screen, share ideas, team up.

Fri Feb 27 – Preproduction
Collaborate and sharpen your scripts, concepts, storyboards and interview questions with your peers.

Sat Feb 28 – Production
Go make it!

Sun Mar 1/2nd day TBD - Post production
Edit your pieces.
