Creative Media Capstone Pitch Winners!

The 21 seniors in the Creative Media Capstone class participated in a formal pitch sessions to present their concepts and research for their Creative Media Capstone Projects.  For the Creative Media Capstone, students take a year long class where they develop their own project in video, sound or interactive media.

Professors Hunt and Wright awarded the best pitches to Jade Budowski and Nadia Feracho.  The pitches were scored on clarity, effectiveness, importance and ability to execute the project.

 

Jade¹s project is short fiction film is a coming of age story of a boy coming to terms with a mentally ill sister.  Originally from Florida, Jade Budowski is a senior studying Comm Arts/Creative Media.  She recently completed a music video for the LA band Bones Muhroni.

 

Nadia¹s project, working title “Don¹t tell me to relax,” is an experimental documentary about natural hair that will explore American beauty standards and how these standards exclude women of the African Diaspora. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Nadia Feracho is a senior at Marymount Manhattan College where she studies Communication Arts with a concentration in Creative Media, and a minor in Theatre. Feracho dreams of becoming a documentary filmmaker, exploring the standards of beauty of women of the African Diaspora.
