About

Erin Greenwell is a New York Filmmaker who received her BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and her MFA in Writing and Directing from the City College of New York. 

Erin directed her feature film My Best Day, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and she co-produced and edited Hunting in Wartime, a documentary feature profiling the extraordinary stories of Tlingit Vietnam War veterans that aired on public television stations nationwide.

Erin served as editor on Yomeddine, an international feature narrative that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for a Palme d’Or Award, in addition to being submitted by Egypt for consideration of Best International Film for the 91st Oscars. 

Erin’s recent fiction short, Skin the Wire, premiered at NY Shorts Festival and her doc/animation hybrid short, The Phoenix and The Dove, which was inspired by artwork from BHCP student Connie Leung, is in final post production. Erin is also in development for a feature fiction film she will direct, The Weathergirl, which follows a teenager coming of age in a messianic Jewish sect.

Teaching awards include Outstanding Faculty Award for Communication + Media Arts and the C-TIE Award for Innovative Teaching.
