Pedro Ruiz is the creator of The Windows Project — a cultural program between the U.S. and Cuba through the art of dance.

Ruiz spent a month in Cuba creating his new work, which kicked off the 500th anniversary celebration of Camaguey on January 24th 2014. “Moments in the Wind” received critical acclaim by the Cuban press, as the energy of the piece showcased the true talent of the dancers, as well as Ruiz’s sensual and dynamic style.

In addition, Ruiz trained local professional dancers through a number of master classes and rehearsals. This helped Ruiz establish a connection with the premier professional performing arts school in Camaguey.

Cuban born, Ruiz danced as a principle dancer with Ballet Hispanico for many years.“This intense work has brought magic to my heart” confessed Ruiz with satisfaction after the first performance.
