Pair art with commerce, humanities with sciences, a BS with a BFA. Double-major in Dance and Entrepreneurship. Design your own curriculum in Interdisciplinary Studies. You’re creative, curious, and smart. We’re thrilled to nurture your talents. Our College Honors Program offers a specialized curriculum for outstanding academic achievement. We also host chapters for a number of national honor societies, and hold an annual Honors Day Colloquium to showcase students’ academic achievements.
Have your sights set on a career in medicine or law? As an undergrad, you can pursue courses that will prepare you for law, medical school, or other health-related professions. If you’re already a college grad, you can fulfill your science prerequisites for medical, dental, speech-language pathology, and other healthcare- and science-related professional programs.
While New York City can spoil you with its international cachet, there are other great world cities to immerse yourself in. MMC offers a number of study abroad programs that transport you beyond the five boroughs of NYC. Does Paris entice you? What about London? Perhaps Greece or Italy? Choose your location and open yourself to cultural discovery and global perspectives.
I moved to New York wanting to be an actor. MMC helped me realize that there were other careers in the theater. If not for the flexibility of MMC’s liberal arts programs, I would not have been able to make the transition from in front of to behind the curtain so easily or fruitfully.
‘Lighting for Fashion Photography’ was my introduction to ICP—the wide range of equipment, extraordinary facilities, the shooting studios, and the nationally recognized faculty.

Marymount Manhattan College allowed me to create the exact college experience I wanted! The wide variety of classes, the wonderful professors, and the convenience of being in New York City all helped me explore many different aspects of theatre arts. I got real-life experience in the city during my years in school. That was the most valuable part of my time at Marymount Manhattan.
Taking classes within the Arts Management minor not only complemented my majors in Art and Art History but also assisted me in discovering how to employ my knowledge and skills while working in various cultural institutions throughout New York. In particular, The History of Museums and Collections offered me a new perspective on the historic and contemporary functions of the art world, which ultimately opened my eyes to the endless possibilities for academic and professional growth within the field. In fact, the invaluable information and experiences I took away from the course gave me the confidence necessary to succeed in my role as an Administrative Intern at the Queens Historical Society during my last semester at MMC.

Chris Coleman ’24 is wowing audiences on @virginvoyages newest ship, the Resilient Lady. In his role as The Charmer, Chris performs magic close-up and in his own show for thousands of guests weekly. The Resilient Lady is sailing the West Mediterranean, and Chris is currently in Spain, checking out cathedrals by day and making people laugh by night. That's Isabella Paragas ’27, a double major in Musical Theatre and Business, and thee Jason Gotay ’11! Besides MMC, they share something in common: @sacmusicals, California's largest nonprofit arts organization. Jason starred in its recent production of "Sunset Boulevard," and Isabella's been working as an education and community engagement assistant for the organization this summer. Among other things, her team helps make theatre more accessible for blind and visually impaired fans, children, and underrepresented groups.
