Ally - For Students
Ally software is integrated within MMC’s Blackboard to provide students of all abilities with immediate access to content in formats that may be more suited to their specific needs.
What does the Ally Software do?
Have you ever accessed a file in your course that was difficult to read, or you wish came in a different format? With Ally, you will have the ability to access a variety of different versions of your instructor’s files.
Ally creates accessible versions of your course files. Accessible files include readable text for screen readers, pictures with captions, and easy-to-navigate content. Ally creates multiple alternatives from the original documents in your course. You can download accessible formats anywhere that files are used. Just choose the version that is best for your needs!
How do I find accessible versions?
Files in Blackboard courses can be found throughout the course content pages, and exactly where the files are located depends on where your instructor has uploaded them. Once you find the file you wish to download, locate the file’s dropdown menu and select Accessible versions.
