Lost and Found
Inquiries about lost property can be made at our Main Campus Security desk at 71st Street or by calling 212-517-0411.
If your property has not been turned in, you can complete a lost property form at the security desk. You will be contacted directly if your property is turned in. Additionally, if you find someone’s property, please turn it in at the security desk so it can be returned to its owner.
Lost and Found Policy
Clothing will be held for 10 days due to health reasons and then donated or discarded. All other items will be held for 60 days and then discarded. Food and beverage bottles WILL NOT be held in the lost and found due to health and sanitary purposes.
Safeguard Your Stuff
- Keep your valuables—laptop, electronic devices, cell phones, textbooks secure in your backpack or locker.
- Keep a record of the serial numbers of all your valuable items
- NEVER leave your valuable property unattended (backpacks, laptops, purse or wallets)
- If something is lost or stolen report it immediately
