General Education Requirements

All students must complete the following General Education Requirements: 

Foundational Requirements: 6-9 credits

  • Writing - either WRIT 101 and 102, or WRIT 201
  • Math - either MATH 113 or 129, or a higher math course

Disciplinary Studies (DS) Requirements: 15 credits 

  • Creative Expression (DS1)
  • Literature and Language (DS2)
  • Natural Science and Mathematics (DS3)
  • Psychology, Philosophy and Religious Studies (DS4)
  • Social Science, Business and History (DS5)

Advanced Interdisciplinary Perspectives (AIP) Requirements: 18 credits

  • Cultural Perspectives (CP)
  • Ethical Perspectives (EP)
  • International Perspectives (IP)
  • Natural Science Perspectives (NP)
  • United States Perspectives (UP)
  • Racial and Ethnic Diversity Perspective (REP)
