Prof. Tahneer Oksman Interviews renowned artist Maira Kalman

Prof Oksman had the opportunity to interview Maira Kalman for the Women’s Review of Books. Kalman is an Israeli-born American illustrator, writer, artist, and designer, who has lived in New York city since the age of four. Her career spans decades and genres, starting with her role as founder of a graphic design consultancy and transitioning to prolific author and illustrator. She is known for her playful and witty illustrations, featured in publications such as The New York Times and The New Yorker. She’s also written and illustrated children’s books. Kalman’s latest project is The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas Illustrated. Check out the full interview here.
