MMC Celebrates Alumni Reunion Weekend 2019

MMC’s 2019 Alumni Reunion Weekend was held on Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18. More than six decades of alumni, ranging from the class of 1959 through our most recent grads in the class of 2019, came home to 71st Street to join in the festivities.

Friday night featured a dinner and cabaret with talented performers from the classes of 2004, 2011, 2013, and 2014. Saturday was jam-packed with exciting activities, including a walking tour with MMC’s archivist Mary Brown, a “Back to the Classroom” discussion with Professor David Mold (Theatre), the MMC Oral History project with Professor Lauren Brown (History), and the annual Milestone Luncheon in the Great Hall, honoring alumni from the classes of 1959 (celebrating their 60th Reunion) through 1989 (30th Reunion). There was also a lively afternoon barbecue for the classes of 1994 (25th Reunion) through 2014 (5th Reunion), featuring drag performances and bingo emceed by the illustrious Misty Venn (Stephen Mascall ’15). Each event throughout the weekend was a fantastic opportunity for alumni old and new to mingle and share stories of their time at MMC.

Many thanks to everyone who joined us over the weekend to reconnect with fellow Griffins and to see the exciting ways Marymount Manhattan College has (and hasn’t!) changed since your time here. We hope to have you back on campus again soon!

In Memoriam: Eileen P. McCardle ’50, One of “Original Four” MMC Graduates

The entire Marymount Manhattan College community mourns the loss of Eileen P. McCardle ’50, one of the four original graduates of MMC’s inaugural class. With us since our beginning in Tarrytown, New York, Mrs. McCardle remained an impassioned supporter of the College and its alumni. Her generosity and spirit will always be remembered.
