Academic Writing Adjunct Instructor Publishes “New York Times” Article

In his article, “Still Separate, Still Unequal: Teaching about School Segregation and Educational Inequality,” Meatto discusses the current state of racial segregation in public education.
Despite the passage of Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, “American public schools remain largely separate and unequal — with profound consequences for students, especially students of color.” Published in the civics section of the New York Times on May 2, Meatto’s article offers entry points into the conversation by featuring six activities for students to investigate school segregation and educational inequality.
