MMC’s Assistant Professor of Academic Writing, Dr. Tahneer Oksman, gave her first keynote address at the German Society for Comics Studies annual conference in Köln, Germany on September 17, 2018.
This year’s conference, titled “Spaces Between – Gender, Diversity and Identity in Comics”, featured over thirty artists from across Europe and the United States for presentations and panel discussions spanning three days.
Dr. Oksman’s presentation, “An Art of Loss” was the conference’s first keynote address.
For the first time, the Department of Academic Writing is offering a brand new upper level course this spring: Professional Writing Across Disciplines.
