Admission Requirements
Begin your life-changing educational journey today in the greatest city in the world. It’s time to apply — here’s what you need to know.
Our admissions requirements depend on where you are in your own educational experience. Below you will find the information you need whether you’re a first-year, transfer, or non-matriculating student, as well as additional requirements for international students and those interested in our fine and performing arts programs.
The following applies to students who have never attended MMC. If you’ve previously attended MMC, you must apply through our re-admission process.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our application process will be test-optional for Fall ’21 domestic applicants. Please note that this new policy will not affect our scholarship offerings for Fall ’21.
Admissions Requirements
FIRST-YEAR APPLICANTS
If you are currently enrolled in high school or you’ve graduated from high school with no college credits, you’ll apply as a first-year applicant. You’ll choose between early decision, early action, and regular admission, and you can complete the MMC Application or the Common Application.
See First-Year Applicant Requirements
TRANSFER APPLICANTS
Ready for a change? If you are a current college student or a student with prior college credits looking to make MMC your new college home, you’ll apply as a transfer student via regular admission. You can complete either the MMC Application or the Common Application, in addition to submitting other specific requirements.
NON-MATRICULATING APPLICANTS
Do you have your sights set on grad school? Do you dream of setting a new course for your future? MMC can get you there. Whether you’re applying to our post-baccalaureate programs, taking classes to boost your academic record, or auditing a course, you’ll need to submit the MMC Application. If you’re hoping to get a fresh start at college with our reSTART program, you can complete either the MMC Application or the Common Application.
See Non-Matriculating Applicant Requirements
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
As an international first-year or transfer student, you will also begin the application process with either the MMC Application or the Common Application. There are some additional steps you may need to take, like English language proficiency exams and official transcript translations. If you do not hold American citizenship or are a permanent resident, you may need to apply for a student visa.
