Student Life and Engagement

Signature components of an MMC education are student-to-student engagements and immersion in New York City, and these continue to be integral to the MMC experience. Student support services are offered both virtually and in person.

Access to 71st Street Facilities

Students, faculty, and staff will have access to facilities, equipment, and technology on the main campus, with opportunities for small-group gatherings, creative endeavors, study and research, and organized co-curricular activities. Space can be reserved through the Astra Scheduler.

Student Engagement and Activities

Learning at MMC happens not only in the classroom, but outside it as well—in the residence halls, in student clubs and organizations, and best of all, in NYC!  We offer a variety of engagement opportunities, leadership development experiences, and social connections, and we will continue to host programs and events, both in-person and virtually, over the coming semester.  Students choose MMC for a reason, and our goal is to foster a vibrant student life experience for all our students while adhering to recommended health and safety guidelines.

Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC)

Knowing the tremendous emotional toll of COVID-19, the CWC staff remains committed to supporting MMC students’ emotional health and well-being during these difficult and unprecedented times. CWC offers tele-health services, such as phone and video counseling sessions, in order to minimize risks to students and CWC staff. For urgent situations, limited in-person appointments will be available.

Medical Services

The Dow Zanghi Student Health Center, located at the 55th Street Residence Hall, offers primary medical care to MMC students, free of charge. The Center is staffed by a physician assistant and a medical assistant. It is operated by Mount Sinai Beth Israel/Student Health Services Network in partnership with the College.

Hours:

  • In-person and telehealth appointments on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 am to 6 pm
  • Telehealth only appointments on Tuesdays: 10 am – 6 pm

Please note that the Dow Zanghi Student Health Center offers antibody testing and flu vaccines but cannot perform COVID-19 testing.
