Upper East Side Education, Downtown Life
Located in the East Village, Cooper Square is in the middle of one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods, and a quick walk to iconic theater and performance spaces, amazing restaurants, and endless things to see and do. Cooper Square is a straight line from MMC’s campus on both the bus and subway, with an estimated typical commute of 30 minutes. The nearest subway is the 6 train at Astor Place, while the 3rd Avenue and St. Marks express bus is just steps away for an above-ground commute.
Cooper Square Pedestrian Plaza
The redesign of Astor Place and Cooper Square expands pedestrian space in an area with lots of foot traffic, offering our students additional outdoor space to enjoy just steps from the residence hall door. Learn more about the nearly decade-long project here.
