Joey Kipp

Joey Kipp was born in Brazil and raised in Mountain View, California. He received a BA in Biology and Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. He currently collaborates with Biba Bell, Ani Taj’s The Dance Cartel and Heather Kravas. Joey was recently an artist in residence with Heather Kravas at the Rauschenberg Residency. Joey has been featured in The NY Times and their online project Speaking in Dance for his work with Biba Bell, Stacy Grossfield, and Jody Oberfelder. Joey was also listed as one of Time Out NY’s “Hot Dancers of NYC.”

Joey’s theater credits include Damn Yankees (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse), Disney’s NEWSIES (CMT Marquee), Kirsten Childs’ The Bubby Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin (The Progressive Theater), In The Heights (Lincoln Park Center for the Performing Arts), The Miracle of Heliane (Bard’s Summerscape), Head Over Heals (Dirty Minds Theater), Rob Pilatus in the Milli Vanilli
Opera Wow: An Opera (BRIC).

His TV/ Film credits include White Denim’s music video Ha Ha Ha Ha Yeah, Prince Karma’s Later Bitches, Amanda Palmer’s Mother, and ABC’s Manhattan Love Story.

Choreography Credits include Día Luna at National Sawdust, Sister Jean Ra Horror at Judson Church, Roulette, and assistant choreographer for Off - Broadway’s Red Roses Green Gold.
