Drayton Alexander is a dramaturg who has worked in new play development in New York, London, and Singapore. He has been the Company Dramaturg at The Flea Theater (NY) and the Literary Associate at Yellow Earth Theatre (UK), where he worked with such artists as Taylor Mac, Niegel Smith, Geraldine Inoa, Thomas Bradshaw, MacWellman, Kristiana Rae Colón, Sherri Eden Barber, Idris Goodwin, Steph Del Rosso, and Amy Ng. As Co-Artistic Producer of “Serials”, Drayton led the Writers’ Room of The Flea’s late-night, episodic, short play series from 2018-2020. He has taught playwriting at NYU Tisch Asia and Singapore Repertory Theatre and is a recipient of an Olwen Wymark Award from the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain. MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU, proud Marymount alum.
