Brooke Bell ’20

Class of 2020,  Art Major, Photography Concentration

“My internship at Benrubi Gallery in the gallery district in Chelsea placed me in a real work environment where I earned credit toward my photography degree and prepared me for a career after graduation.”

About

“As part of my duties, I was involved with planning the gallery exhibitions, maintaining and managing a large collection of photographic works and enhancing the visibility of the gallery events through social media. During the semester long internship, I became part of a network of visual professionals who worked with artists, framers, auction houses and museums towards the common goal of promoting the careers of the photographers represent by the art gallery.

After this experience, I am more confident in producing my own work, curating other photographers’ works and understanding how photographs are promoted and sold in the fine art marketplace.”
