Alumni News: MMC Grad Published in Scientific American

“The climate 25,000 years ago was cold, very cold. It was the height of the last ice age, and survival required desperate measures…”

So begins the Scientific American article, “How Climate Change Spurred a 10,000-Year Ice Age Journey.” The article was authored by MMC Alum Elspeth Dehnert, a graduate of the International Studies program.

Math Department Holds The Eleventh Annual Pi-Day Contest

Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
