MMC Professor Richard Niles Discusses “The Doctors” Role for Retro TV

Richard Niles, Ph.D., Professor of Theatre Arts, who portrayed Rico Bellini in long-running television soap, The Doctors, discusses his experience on set as a young actor in a recent video for Retro TV.

Niles appeared in 73 episodes between 1970 and 1971 as Rico Bellini, the tough and troubled nephew of Dr. Nick Bellini (Gerald Gordon). In the interview for Retro TV’s “Watch the Doctors: Where Are They Now?” special, he discusses his the character, his experience working “live to tape”, and his life after The Doctors.

Acting and Musical Theatre Alum Nick LaMedica ’10 Makes TV Debut on ‘Chicago Fire’

Nick LaMedica ’10, who graduated from MMC’s Acting and Musical Theatre programs, was recently cast to play a paramedic on NBC’s Chicago Fire. The episode aired on Wednesday, March 18, and marked LaMedica’s first performance for national television.
