Madison Weisend ’20 Accepted to London School of Economics

Madison has been accepted to the MSc program in Environment and Development at the LSE.

Madison Weisend ’20, a double major in Environmental Studies and Politics and Human Rights, has been admitted to the graduate program in Environment and Development at the London School of Economics. Madison is well prepared for this prestigious program, having conducted research in urban ecology at MMC and studies on water scarcity in rural India as a Boren Scholar during her sophomore year. The LSE is ranked 2nd in the world for social sciences and management. Congratulations, Madison!

Safety Precautions and Synchronous Learning: MMC Laboratories in the Time of COVID

As MMC worked to reopen its Main Campus for the Fall 2020 semester, the Department of Natural Sciences developed a plan to continue performing in-person laboratory courses while also accommodating remote learners. MMC’s science labs underwent extensive safety reinforcement to allow in-person students to participate in labs with their remote partners learning from home.
