Alumna Olivia Warren (’11) Discusses Supreme Court and Law School Life
What was initially planned as a small discussion for Dr. Nossiff’s Policy of Abortion class (AIP 336) became a large, lively conversation across disciplines. Alumna Olivia Warren, now in her second year at Harvard law, started the discussion on her experience attending the Supreme court’s oral arguments of the controversial Whole Women’s Health v. Hellerstedt case. After discussing numerous ethical, moral, and legal intricacies of the case, Olivia spoke on her experience deciding on law school, her recent work in the court room, and her perspectives on our country’s legal system, among others. Her candid, open, and eloquent responses to students’ questions created an exciting yet comfortable atmosphere. The department of Politics and Human Rights is so grateful to Ms. Warren for her fantastic discussion - and to all who had the chance to come to our event!
Refreshments for this event were co-sponsored by the newly formed Social Science Assembly, headed by senior Deanna Benigno.
