That's Hannah Sadler ’26, a rising junior in the BFA Theatre Design and Technology program with a concentration in Costume Design. Last year, she was a stitcher and ran wardrobe for the @machaydntheatre's summer season, and she returned this year to design for its production of "West Side Story" in June. The show got rave reviews–check out these pics of the cast in action! Congratulations, Hannah! 👏👏👏 📸 2-4: Photographed by Ann Kielbasa #NYCColleges #theatre #costumedesign #thearts

Newton ’14  Newton has been cast in Empire: The Musical, which premieres next month off-Broadway for a 12-week limited engagement. (Retired MMC Theatre Professor Timothy Johnson serves as associate director!) The show celebrates the Empire State Building through the lens of three generations of dreamers and doers.  🔵Tade Biesinger ’24 Biesinger is performing in the North American tour of Back to The Future: The Musical. He appears in the ensemble and also covers George McFly. The show runs through August 2025.  🔵Matthew Sirju ’24 GoodDay New York interviewed Sirju for a segment on the 54th anniversary of the Black Spectrum Theatre Company in Queens. He stars in the theatre's History Park series, which highlights turning points in Black history.   🔵Mondo Morales ’12 Last month, a custom gown created by Dance alum and Assistant Director of Visual and Performing Arts Admissions Mondo Morales ’12 was featured in a performance curated by @artbathnyc for the Cathedral of St. John the Divine’s Spring Gala. We had so many names that we needed another post! As we continue to celebrate Sunday's Tony Awards, congratulations to these talented members of our community who presented, performed, or helped support the productions we love: 🔵 Greg Uliasz ’12 is a partner at MSA Talent Agency (and is married to fellow Theatre alum Eric Leiggi ’15!). MSA represents a range of Broadway talent, including artists in six productions that were nominated or won 2024 Tony Awards, such as “Suffs,” and “Cabaret.” Here he is with client and “Suffs” choreographer Mayte Natalio. 🔵 Assistant Theatre Professor Jesmille Darbouze-Smith, who starred in the 2023 Broadway revival of “A Doll's House,” presented the 2024 Excellence in Theatre Education Award recognizing a K-12 theatre educator. 🔵 Noah Pyzik ’19 made his Broadway debut as The Deputy in "Purlie Victorious," which had six nominations Sunday night, with star Kara Young winning her first Tony. 🔵 Robert Reed-Jones ’05, vice president and head of theater at the advertising agency AKA North America, saw several clients win this season, including “An Enemy of the People,” “Hell's Kitchen,” “Cabaret,” and “Purlie Victorious.” #theatre #nyc #tonyawards

We saw some familiar faces at Sunday night’s Tony Awards! Congratulations to faculty and alums who performed, presented, took home awards, had productions that were nominated, or worked behind the scenes representing and supporting the incredible talent on Broadway! To name a few: 🔵 Assistant Theatre Professor Michael Mendez is featured in the ensemble of the Broadway musical “Water For Elephants.” The show was nominated for seven Tony Awards, with Mendez and castmates taking the stage on Sunday for an incredible performance. Watch it at the link in our bio. 🔵 What do the productions “Suffs” (which scored two trophies) and “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club” (which took home one) have in common? Michael Duling D’Angora ’04 who served as a co-producer of both. D’Angora is pictured here with adjunct Theatre faculty member Leigh Goldenberg ’04. 🔵 Goldenberg had reason to celebrate, too: She’s the managing director of Philadelphia’s Wilma Theater, which received the 2024 Regional Theatre Tony Award. The prize recognizes a regional theatre company that has displayed a continuous level of artistic achievement contributing to the growth of theatre nationally—and is accompanied by a $25,000 grant. 🔵 The Alicia Keys musical “Hell’s Kitchen” had a big night, with 13 nominations and two wins—and Jackie Leon ’22 was there, performing and celebrating with castmates. (Watch them at the link in our bio!) Leon plays the role of Jessica—which they originated during the show’s 2023-24 Off-Broadway run—and appears in the ensemble.   🔵 Boutique talent agency The Mine—home of agents Ellery Sandhu ’01 and Eric Leiggi ’15  and talent coordinator Flynn Navin ’20—had several clients in Tony-nominated and award-winning productions, including “Suffs” and “Back To The Future: The Musical.” Phew! More to come!

They took an art class with Art and Art History Professors Hallie Cohen and Julia Gran, watched Theatre Professor Emily Clark at work with Musical Theatre students, toured The Judy and Carson and Nugent halls, and more. Glad to have you back @becollegey!
