Is this a degree or certificate granting program?

No, this is a non-degree program offering undergraduate courses only.

Do I need to have a science undergraduate degree to apply?

No, all majors are welcome.

Can I retake courses to improve my GPA?

Yes!

Is there financial aid available?

While there is no financial support for post-baccalaureates, our cost per credit is the lowest of comparable programs. If financial assistance is needed, look for private bank loans that support non-degree students.

Is there a deadline for applying?

No, we have rolling admissions, and you can apply anytime. Our semester start dates can be found here.

Where should I send my transcript?

Please send transcripts (unofficial are accepted) to Emma Kamen.

Is there a minimum GPA requirement?

No. Students are evaluated based on their entire undergraduate record and are provided a customized academic plan to help them achieve their goals.

Are there evening and weekend classes?

All lab courses are offered M-F between 8 AM and 5 PM. Some lecture-only courses may be available in the evening and/or during summer sessions.

Will I receive help with the application process for biomedical/professional programs?

Students who complete and excel in at least 15 course credits in the MMC Biology Post-Bac program will gain access to our Pre-Health Advisor and Pre-Health Committee. This generally includes a letter of recommendation, advice about the timing of the application, consultation on writing a personal statement, guidance on selection of schools, and interview preparation.

Do you have any partnerships with professional programs?

Yes, we have linkage agreements with the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Touro College of Pharmacy.

Does the MMC Biology Post-Bac program provide letters of recommendation for post-bac students?

Students who complete and excel in at least four courses (three or more credits each) in the MMC Biology Post-Bac program may be eligible to receive either a Committee Letter or letters written by individual faculty members at their discretion. 

Does the MMC Biology Post-Bac program provide tutoring support for post-bac students?

Yes. Post-bac students can take advantage of the Center for Academic Support and Tutoring (CAST), a free service, to help them succeed in their classes. 

Are Marymount Manhattan alumni eligible for a tuition discount?

Yes, MMC alumni receive a reduced alumni rate!
