Alumni, Family, and Friends Homecoming Weekend

Every year in October, MMC celebrates Alumni, Family, and Friends Homecoming Weekend. Even if you can’t come to NYC, let us bring NYC and MMC to you. We hope you will join us Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2020 for this year’s festivities.

Highlights include kickball, Escape the Room, MMC’s Got Talent, and so much more. Check out the schedule below and register now before spots fill up!

Morning Yoga — Virtual

Dance Department Family & Friends Breakfast — Virtual

College-Wide Class Visitations — Virtual

Families are invited to sample a variety of MMC classes in order to experience the College’s dynamic academic environment.

Virtual Tour of the MET

NYC comes to you! Now’s your chance to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art…from the comfort of your home. The Met welcomes you for a virtual tour featuring engaging, online discussions led by a Museum guide. Space is limited.

Dialogues in Dance — Virtual
De-Colonizing Bharatanatyam & Embodying Erasure

This event will serve as the second installment of the three-part Dialogues in Dance lecture series meant to support the Dance Department’s efforts to decolonize its curriculum. For the first time, Bharatanatyam is offered as a technique in the MMC Dance Department. This event will provide interesting and much needed contextual information on the form. Learn more here

Join MMC’s President Kerry Walk, Ph.D. for a lively discussion with MMC faculty on the Virtual Classes/Open Campus educational model and plans for Spring 2021.

Come see just how much talent is housed here at MMC! Enjoy acts of all kinds by our current students. All are welcome.

Upper East Side Walking Tour — In Person
Meet at MMC’s 71st Street Entrance

Back by popular demand! MMC’s very own archivist, Mary Brown, leads you on a 45-minute tour to learn how MMC takes advantage of its New York City location. You will see everything from brownstones and mansions to shops and transportation routes, as well as architectural gems and sites of historic interest. 
There will be a maximum of 10 attendees for this event. Attendees must wear masks.

Join us for a fascinating Q&A with MMC alumnus Aaron Glick ’06, producer for What the Constitution Means to Me and The Boys in the Band, winner of the 2019 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.
