Abby C. Fiorella ’83

As Chief Technology Risk Officer for Mastercard, Abby C. Fiorella ’83 establishes and oversees processes to support the holistic assessment and governance of technology risks across the organization, including risk analysis/tracking, control validation, and stakeholder assurance. She is also the Chair of the Technology Risk Committee, where she is responsible for the aggregation and reporting of technology risks to Executive Management and the Board of Directors.

Prior to her current role, Fiorella was General Auditor for eight years; providing independent and objective assurance on the design and effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes to management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Before that, she led Mastercard’s global compliance programs, including ethics, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions and privacy & data protection.

Before joining Mastercard, Fiorella was a Director in KPMG’s Forensics & Advisory Services practice. She also served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County and as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department.

Fiorella graduated magna cum laude with honors from New York Law School and is admitted to practice law in the state of New York. She received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Marymount Manhattan College, where she also graduated magna cum laude with honors.

Fiorella currently sits on the boards of the NYC LGBT Community Center and Marymount Manhattan College, as Audit Committee Chair. She is also an executive mentor and on the advisory board of OutWomen.
