Backstage, the most trusted publication for budding and established performers to find casting opportunities and gain career advice, has listed Marymount Manhattan College as the # 2 school where TONY Award nominees go to get their start for promising futures on the Great White Way.

The recent TONY Awards nomination of Marymount Manhattan graduate, Annaleigh Ashford, for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, for her role in Kinky Boots, is included in the Backstage round-up. Other graduates cited in the article include Adrienne Warren ‘09.

Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
