Alumni News: MMC Grad Featured on Cover of TIME Magazine
Laverne Cox, MMC alum and Orange Is the New Black actress, is featured on the cover of TIME magazine, for its June 9, 2014 issue.
The story, “The Transgender Tipping Point,” highlights Cox’s journey “…from being bullied for acting feminine as a kid…” to “…becoming a public face for the transgender movement.”

Math Department Holds The Eleventh Annual Pi-Day Contest
Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
