Marymount Manhattan Students Shine at Regional Psychological Conference

Along with faculty from the Division of the Sciences and the Psychology Department, 11 current MMC students and recent graduates presented their research at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association.

The conference was held from March 13-16 in Boston. MMC students submitted their research on the same basis as graduate students and professional psychologists from all over the US and beyond.  Professors Samantha Berkule, Deirtra Hunter, Ann Jablon, Nava Silton, Henry Solomon and Linda Solomon supervised or worked with the students. 

Student presenters included Senada Arucevic, Julia Bergquist, Alyx Duckering, Alicia Ferris, Taylor Luke, Emilie Maurer, Megan McGee, Anna Patruno, Luis Pena, Rebecca Ruchlin, and Petra Stofkova.

Math Department Holds The Eleventh Annual Pi-Day Contest

Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
