Marymount Manhattan College Graduate Selected as Spring 2014 Intern at Kennedy Center
Ms. Reinholdt, daughter of Candace Colby and Richard Edward Reinholdt, is from Missoula, Montana. She received her undergraduate degree in International Studies from Marymount Manhattan College in May 2013. During her undergraduate career, Ms. Reinholdt won the 2013 Dymphna Leonard Award in Fiction, awarded by the Marymount Manhattan Review Literary Magazine. Prior to her internship at the Kennedy Center, Ms. Reinholdt was a student at the Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre in Missoula. In 2007, the company was invited on a cultural exchange trip to China, sponsored by Montana’s senior senator, Max Baucus, and Chinese ambassador Zhou Wenzhong. Ms. Reinholdt was chosen to speak at performances and in local news media on behalf of the company.
As the Friends of the Kennedy Center intern, Ms. Reinholdt is learning the basic principles of management such as recruitment, retention, and recognition. She is also involved in all other aspects of the volunteer program as well. Ms. Reinholdt is working on event planning, the newsletter, graphic design, festival volunteer coordination and recruitment procedures, supervision of outreach programs, outreach to the International community and the Friends Social Networking Program, and research on arts volunteerism throughout the United States as well as in other countries.
