Boren Scholarship Winner Commits to USAID After Graduation
Katie Sives '13 in India
An International Studies major who spent her summer studying economic development in Bangalore, India, Katie Sives will conduct senior-year research on sustainable development in Brazil.
“Interning at MADRE,” an international women’s human rights organization, “enabled me to work alongside human rights experts, gave me hands- on experience with online communications, and provided perspective as I plan for my future,” Katelyn Sives ‘13 explained.
As part of the Boren scholarship, Katelyn will work with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for one year upon graduation.
