Science Senior Spotlight: Simran Sahansra ’21

Simran Sahansra ’21 will be graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.

With her major in Biomedical Sciences and her undergraduate internship experience at NYU Langone Health Center’s Environmental Pediatrics Department, Simran Sahansra ’21 will be applying to Physician Assistant programs over the next year. In the meantime, she will work as a research data associate. Simran is grateful to have acquired a wide range of skills from her classes at Marymount and is excited to put them to use in a real-world setting! Go Griffins!

Safety Precautions and Synchronous Learning: MMC Laboratories in the Time of COVID

As MMC worked to reopen its Main Campus for the Fall 2020 semester, the Department of Natural Sciences developed a plan to continue performing in-person laboratory courses while also accommodating remote learners. MMC’s science labs underwent extensive safety reinforcement to allow in-person students to participate in labs with their remote partners learning from home.
