Watch: MMC Campus Leaders Celebrated in Virtual Awards Ceremony

Each year, the Office of Student Development and Activities at MMC hosts an awards ceremony celebrating the work and achievements of the campus community’s most engaged students. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the College’s remote operations, the annual festivities were moved online in a pre-recorded IGTV ceremony.

“The shift to a virtual ceremony, while not our first choice, was a unique opportunity to showcase the vibrancy of the student leaders in our community,” says Kevin Croke, Assistant Director of Student Development and Activities. “We are thrilled to be able to share the full program with such a wide audience. We had hoped to celebrate our student leaders in person, especially our graduating seniors with whom we’ve worked for many years, but this tribute to them and their hard work may last a lifetime.”

MMC President Kerry Walk opened the ceremony to congratulate all of the nominees and winners. “At MMC, we’re deeply committed to preparing students to become creative change makers; fearless individuals who create powerful and lasting change in the world,” Walk explains in her video message. “Each of the nominees for a student leadership award embodies this fundamental commitment.”

Many thanks to all who were involved in planning and organizing the ceremony, and especially to Marchael Giles ’20 for his time editing the video.
