Biology Students’ Outreach Efforts Published in National Magazine

Outreach work by the MMC Student Chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) is featured in this month’s issue of ASBMB Today.

This month’s issue of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology magazine, ASBMB Today, features a prominent story on the science outreach efforts of our Student Chapter of the ASBMB. The ASBMB is a national organization that sponsors a Student Chapters Outreach Grant Program to help undergraduate chapter members host science outreach activities in their local communities. The MMC Student Chapter won one of only four grants awarded nationwide by the ASBMB in Fall 2019. With this funding, our students hosted their second annual “I Heart Boobies!” event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in conjunction with the Keep A Breast Foundation.
