To celebrate Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary, Nava Silton, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology, brought 38 students from her Psychology and NYC Seminar classes for a tour and discussion at Sesame Workshop on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Dr. Rosemarie Truglio, the Senior Vice President of Curriculum and Content at Sesame, gave a “tremendous” talk for the students about her work, says Silton. Responsible for the development of the interdisciplinary curriculum on which Sesame Street is based, Dr. Truglio also oversees content development for Sesame Street across various platforms including television, theme park activities, publishing, and more. “All of our students left with signed copies of her incredible new book…so fun celebrating with my Psychology and NYC Seminar Students!”
