Jephson Educational Trusts Award MMC $10,000 Grant for Student Scholarships
(New York, NY) The Jephson Educational Trusts have awarded Marymount Manhattan College a $10,000 grant for student scholarships. The grant will increase student access by expanding financial aid: a key initiative ofThis is the Day, the campaign for Marymount Manhattan. The award brings the College closer to achieving its $25 million campaign goal. It also helps satisfy a challenge grant from The Kresge Foundation, which requires that the College complete the campaign and secures pledges totaling $25 million by July 1, 2009.
This renewed grant extends the Jephson Educational Trusts’ long history of generous support to Marymount Manhattan. The Trusts have enabled the College to offer many qualified and deserving students the opportunity to complete their bachelor’s degrees and prepare for successful and fulfilling careers.

Math Department Holds The Eleventh Annual Pi-Day Contest
Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
