2019 Lefkowitz Lecture featuring Mindy Fullilove

Psychiatrist Mindy Fullilove, Ph.D., will deliver the 2019 Lefkowitz Lecture, Urbanism is a Participatory Sport, on Thursday, October 24, in the Theresa Lang Theatre.

In Urbanism is a Participatory Sport, Dr. Mindy Fullilove will address the importance of learning about the city by participating in its activities. This is especially true when teachers can offer structure for engagement that models participatory rather than authoritarian involvement. Students who have access to these kinds of experiences are prepared to be leaders of the “resilient” cities we must build to replace the sorted-out cities that are undermining our democracy.

No RSVP required, but seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reception for all attendees to follow. For additional information, contact iaevents@mmm.edu
