MMC student leaders completed an overnight immersive leadership weekend program at YMCA Camp Mason in Hardwick, New Jersey.
A group of 30 student leaders, who represent a variety of student organizations at MMC, and the staff of the Student Development and Activities office attended the Leadership Immersion Weekend at YMCA Camp Mason from Saturday morning September 22 to Sunday afternoon, September 23, 2018. The student leaders immersed themselves in the woods of northern New Jersey to experience low-ropes challenges, team building exercises, and several hands-on workshops focused on skill development, campus community inclusion, and strengthening cross-campus collaboration.
The student leaders completed the immersive experience and developed strategic plans for continued growth amongst their peers. Additionally, students reflected upon their roles as leaders, on how to serve their constituents and fulfill the individual missions of their respective organizations, and on ways in which they, as leaders, could enhance the collective student experience at MMC.
Each year, various MMC offices and student groups come together to celebrate the third week of November with events to expand our global awareness and understanding. This year, InternationalEducationWeek begins on Monday, November 16, and ends on Friday, November 20.
